Founded in 2022, the Los Angeles based Webern Quartet has been featured in the San Francisco Classical Voice and The New Yorker, where Alex Ross praised the quartet as having “found the through line of Schoenberg’s personality.” The ensemble is known for its committed and intimate interpretations of works ranging from the quartets of Mozart to contemporary premieres as well as for its dedication to the works of the Second Viennese School. In 2023, following a residency at the Arnold Schoenberg Center in Vienna, the quartet performed the complete quartets in one day. In the summer of 2024 the quartet will record these works in Germany to be released by Etcetera Records in the fall, commemorating Schoenberg’s 150th anniversary. The quartet’s members are from Italy, Japan, South Korea, and the US.
